My smart and beautiful wife completed her Master’s degree in Bioengineering, and joined Stanford Medicine full time! She works on manufacturing cells to help cure patients with leukemia and lymphoma at Stanford hospital in clinical trials. Her research towards better cancer treatment was featured on front page of SCU.
Ellen Wang (second from the right), my intern from Fall 2017, joined as a full-time employee! We had a great reunion lunch with my current Summer 2018 intern Cherie Ruan (University of Washington, far right), and former intern Alex Madera (UC Riverside, far left). Love my interns!
Thanks to the team for updating my FB Research profile! It’s here.
During the first weeks at Facebook, we get to work on a variety of projects across the company. I worked on Facebook virtual assistant M. Our progress has been reported by the press (The Verge, Recode, Wired, Fortune). I also worked on various things for Instagram.
Most recently, I’ve been working on creating new video experiences. We’ve rolled out the ability to stream videos from Facebook to your TV – through devices like Apple TV or Google Chromecast – so you have the option to enjoy your favorite videos on a bigger screen. I’ve been part of a 3-member squad responsible for shipping this on Android. You can read more in the press (Engadget, PCWorld).
